Women’s tennis falls to No. 25 Brenau

GAINESVILLE, Ga. (March 8, 2022) – The Point University women's tennis team traveled to face No. 25 Brenau in an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup and fell to the Golden Tigers 4-0.

Due to impending weather, the teams started with singles competition and Brenau picked up victories at the No. 1 – 4 positions. Andrea Ovejero Fernandez at No. 1 singles and Sofia Villalobos at No. 2 singles each took their matches to three sets, as both won the opening set but fell in sets two and three. Tania Herrera and Sofia Gonzalez at No. 5 and No. 6 singles were unable to complete their matches.
