Fredrika Zetterblom earns SSAC Women’s Golfer of the Week

WEST POINT, Ga. (Nov. 7, 2023) - The Southern States Athletic Conference announced the Men's and Women's Golfer of the Week where Fredrika Zetterblom earned SSAC Women's Golfer of the Week. 

The Junior from Soderkoping, Sweden finished tied for eighth at the Coqui Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico where she carded a +17 230 with rounds of 78, 73, and 79. Zetterblom is a player that is continuing to put together a season where she is competing against some of the best golfers in the NAIA. Earlier in the fall, she broke a school record for the lowest score to par with a 68. Each tournament, she takes the approach of being the best in what she does along with helping contribute to her team. Looking ahead to Point Women's Golf, the Skyhawks look to make noise in the Spring of 2024 in their new conference and have the potential to earn some national recognition. Head Coach, Greg Boling knows he has a gem in Fredrika and has expressed how talented she is along with how respected she is by her peers. This is the first weekly honor for Zetterblom but with her impact, this could certainly not be her last accolade during her tenure at Point.
