Women’s golf finishes runner-up at Mountain Empire Invite

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (April 12, 2022) – The Point University women's golf team competed in the Mountain Empire Invite hosted by Milligan University Monday and Tuesday at the Elizabethton Golf Course. Point used a strong second round, jumping two spots from Monday's round to finish the tournament in second place.

Individual finishes

• Ana Aldana made the all-tournament team, as she finished tied in third with a tournament score of 157 and shot rounds of 79 and 78 (+13).
• Fredricka Zetterblom jumped six places from the first round to the second round, as she finished tied in seventh with a tournament score of 160 and shot rounds of 83 and 77 (+16).
• Sofia Fousek jumped nine places from the first round to the second round, as she finished in 19th with a tournament score of 170 and shot rounds of 90 and 80 (+26).
• Alexis Guzman and Peyton Woody finished in 33rd and 34th, respectively. Guzman shot rounds of 89 and 95, and Woody shot rounds of 89 and 96.
