Swimming releases 2022-23 schedule

WEST POINT, Ga. (Sept. 12, 2022) – The Point University swimming head coach Derek Kite released the 2022-23 schedule, which features nine meets.

The Skyhawks open the season on Oct. 2 in Franklin Springs, Ga., at Emmanuel College, then head to Thomasville, Ga., on Oct. 15 for a tri-meet with Thomas University and South Georgia State. Point will host the Georgia Small College Championships Nov. 17-19 at the Columbus Aquatic Center in Columbus, Ga. 

Other notable meets include the SCAD Invitational Dec. 1-3 and the Berry College Viking Invite Jan. 13-14. The Appalachian Athletic Conference Championships take place Feb. 9-11 at the Kingsport Aquatics Center in Kingsport, Tenn.

Kite's thoughts on the upcoming season:

"I am excited about the men's and women's swim teams this year. We brought in great pieces that will score points in our meets. The entire team is swimming hard each day and is doing what needs to be done to win meets. I can't wait to get this season going."
