Men’s lacrosse falls to SCAD Savannah

Hardeeville, S.C. (Feb. 26, 2022) – The Point University men's lacrosse team traveled to SCAD Savannah Saturday afternoon for an Appalachian Athletic Conference matchup and fell to the Bees 21-4.

Malyke Siller and Jassiem Josse scored two goals apiece, as Sillers scored Point's first goal of the game in the first quarter to make the score 1-1. The Bees went on to lead 4-1 at the end of the opening frame. Point did the rest of their scoring in the second quarter, as Josse scored the first goal of the quarter. Sillers followed with his second goal of the game and Josse scored in the final seconds of action before the half, making the score 10-4 at the break.

SCAD did not allow the Skyhawks to score a goal in the second half, as they scored 11.

Sillers led the Skyhawks with 14 shot attempts, six on goal and three ground balls. Josse followed with seven shots, five on goal and four ground balls. Kiereek McLeod made 17 saves in goal.

Up next, Point travels to play Huntingdon on Monday, March 1, at 8 p.m.
