Women finish round one in 10th; men delayed until Tuesday

PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. (March 7, 2022) – The Point University men's and women's golf teams opened day one of the Skyhawk Spring Invitational on Monday at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Ga.

The women completed round one, finishing in 10th place out of 12 teams. The men completed round one, finishing tied in third, but had four holes left to complete in round two before the round was called due to inclement weather in the area.

On the women's side

  • Fredricka Zetterblom currently leads the Skyhawks, tied in 19th after shooting 10-over (80).
  • Ana Aldana enters round two tied in 22nd after shooting 11-over (81).
  • Abigail Evans, after day one, is tied in 54th after shooting 20-over (90).
  • Peyton Woody is tied in 60th after shooting 26-over (96).
  • Alyssa Davis is in 65th (+37)
  • Alexis Guzman is in 66th (+41)
  • Kiri Maddox (+48)

On the men's side

  • Dominik Wolf finished the first round tied in fifth place after shooting 1-under (71).
  • Brendan Porter finished the first round tied in 13th after shooting 3-over (75).
  • Cole Stevens and Trevor Poole finished the first round tied in 20th after shooting 4-over (76).
  • Zandre Labuschagne and Jaden Saunders finished the first round tied in 33rd after shooting 6-over (78).
  • Dawson Smith finished the first round tied in 43rd after shooting 7-over (79).
  • Hayden Johnson finished the first round tied in 51st after shooting 8-over (80).
  • Logan Gosdin finished the first round tied in 72nd after shooting 11-over (83).
  • Ludson Maduro finished the first round tied in 78th after shooting 13-over (85).
  • Matthew Campbell finished the first round in 84th (+15)
  • Max Hansen finished the first round in 85th (+17).

With four holes left to play on the men's side, the Skyhawks are currently tied in second, one stroke behind Reinhardt in first place.

Day two

The men's side will complete the final holes of the second round before beginning round three, and the women will complete round two tomorrow morning.
