Women’s lacrosse drops contest to No. 1 Keiser

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (March 1, 2022) – The Point University women's lacrosse team rounded out their spring break trip to Florida on Tuesday as they faced No. 1 Keiser University and fell to the Seahawks 22-0.

Keiser opened Tuesday's matchup with six goals in the first quarter and 10 goals in the second quarter to enter the second half leading 16-0. Point limited the Seahawks to only four goals in the third quarter and two goals in the fourth.

Keiser outshot Point 42-2, with Sydney Hanna and Janie Marie Messer taking one shot apiece, both on goal. Senior goalkeeper Kayla Bone recorded a team-high 12 ground balls and added 14 saves.

Up next, Point will host Truett McConnell University in its home opener on Saturday, March 5, at 1 p.m. inside River Bowl Stadium.
