WEST POINT, Ga. (June 7, 2023) - The NAIA announced the Softball All-American teams on Wednesday, June 7, and Haley Lyner appeared on the list as a Second Team All-American. Lyner, who was named AAC Softball Player of the Year, has added another accolade to her resume after putting up monster numbers on the field for Point Softball in the 2023 Season. With this accomplishment, Lyner has become the first-ever All-American in Point University Softball history.

KINGSPORT, Tenn., (April 27, 2023) – The Point University softball played the first elimination game in the AAC conference tournament on Thursday when they took on #8 Milligan. The #5 Skyhawks would fall 14-4 in their last game of the season.

KINGSPORT, Tenn., (April 26, 2023) – The Point University softball team started the AAC conference tournament on Wednesday when they took on #4 Tennessee Wesleyan. The #5 Skyhawks would fall 8-0 in a 5-inning mercy rule.

KINGSPORT, Tenn. (Apr. 26, 2023) - The Appalachian Athletic Conference announced all-conference awards on Wednesday, April 26. Multiple players on the softball team received honors in the following categories: First Team All-Conference, Second Team All-Conference, Champions of Character Award and the All-Academic team.

Softball falls to the Nighthawks in regular season finale

THOMASVILLE, Ga. (Apr. 18, 2023)- The Point University softball team took a trip to Armory Field, where Point faced off against Thomas University in a non-conference doubleheader where the Nighthawks took the sweep. The Skyhawks lost games one, 11-0, and two, 9-5.

WEST POINT, Ga. (April 15, 2023) – The Point University softball would play host to Bluefield College (VA) on Saturday in a conference doubleheader. Saturday would also double as Senior Day for the Skyhawks fourteen seniors. The Skyhawks would sweep the doubleheader, winning game one, 6-1 and game two, 3-2.

ATLANTA, Ga. (April 12, 2023) – The Point University softball team played a non-conference doubleheader on the road against Clark Atlanta and took a split. The Skyhawks would lose game one, 10-3 and win game two, 15-12.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (April 3, 2023) – The Point Skyhawks softball team would head on the road to Knoxville, to take on Johnson University in a AAC doubleheader. The Skyhawks would sweep the doubleheader by winning game one, 8-3 and game two, 8-0 (5 inning mercy rule).

CLEVELAND, Ga. (March 29, 2023) – The Point University softball team played an away AAC doubleheader on Wednesday against Truett-McConnell and would be swept. The Skyhawks would lose game one, 5-3 (8 innings) and lose game two, 6-4 to be swept by the Bears.
