Cross Country finishes strong at the AAC Championships

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Nov. 4, 2022) - The Point University Men's and Women's cross-country teams returned to the course on Friday, Nov. 4 at the Appalachian Athletic Championship in Columbia, S.C. 

The course featured teams from the AAC in the NAIA levels. Milligan won on the men's and women's side. 

Finishes for the men (8k) 

Ian Dougherty – 52nd place | 28:43.9 

Elijah Pace – 54th place | 28:58.3 

Brett VanLeuven – 57th place | 29:23.0 

Joshua Beam – 68th place | 30:24.8 

Austin Hemphill –79th place | 32:00.7 

The men's team finished 9th place out of 12 teams overall. 

Finishes for the women (5k) 

Anna Brown – 75th place | 24:02.9 

Linda Schiller- 80th place | 24:26.0 

Kyah Campbell – 89th place | 25:48.6 

Macy Babbs- 92nd place |27:37.9 

Chazmere Anderson- 100th place | 36:51.4 

The women's team finished 12th place out of 12 teams overall.

The men's and women's teams have wrapped up their cross-country season and will start to prepare for track season in the spring.
