Eagles too much for Skyhawks

VALLEY, Ala. (Oct. 16, 2021) – Visiting No. 11, Reinhardt University scored a touchdown in their opening possession on Saturday and never looked back in a 41-0 win over the Point University football team in Ram Stadium.

The Skyhawks' record dropped to 1-6 (1-2 MSC).

The Eagles padded its lead with an additional touchdown in the first, but the Skyhawks held Reinhardt to only six points in the second quarter as Langston Brantley blocked the extra point attempt.

Reinhardt entered the break leading 20-0. The second hair nearly mirrored the first half, as the Eagles jumped out and scored two touchdowns in the third quarter and one touchdown in the fourth.

Reinhardt accumulated 328 total rushing yards and 160 passing yards for a total of 488 offense yards. Point had a total of 149 yards, 125 rushing and 24 passing. The Eagles finished with 28 first downs while Point had nine.

Sensir Carnes and Adam Sanders led with 10 rushing attempts apiece. Carnes led with 42 yards.

Quan Neal led Point's defense with 10 tackles, one tackle for 10 loss yards. Gabriel Jacon-Duffy followed with seven tackles and Parker Clemons followed with six. Aaron Anderson recorded Point's only interception on defense.
