Montgomery, AL – The Reinhardt women's volleyball team began day 2 of the Faulkner University Tournament on Saturday, September 1st. Day one consisted of Reinhardt coming on top with two sweeps over Ave Maria University and Southeastern. The Eagles continued their momentum into day two with 2 great wins over William Carey (3-1; 26-24, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15) and Point University (3-1; 25-12, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20).
One of Reinhardt's biggest preseason goals was to play competitive teams to get them prepared for conference play. The Eagles have done just that and should be proud of the way their playing. Conference play is beginning this upcoming week with Truett-McConnell on Thursday night. The Eagles will enter their conference matches with a 7-1 record overall.
Game One VS William Carey 3-1 (26-24, 25-14, 22-25, 25-15)
Leaders:
- Katherine Perrin led offensively with 14 kills with a .414 hitting percentage. Following her was Allison Selway with 11.
- Ashlynn Barnes did a fantastic job setting her hitters up for success, totaling 39 assists. Barnes also had 11 digs and 2 service aces.
- Libero, Sarah Sweet, had the squad-high in digs with 12.
- Maria Piliposyans had 3 blocks, while Savanna Horton added 2.

Game Two VS Point (3-1; 25-12, 19-25, 25-19, 25-20)
The Eagles got off to a fast 14-3 start due to several back-to-back errors committed by the Point Skyhawks. Although Point slowly gained points, Reinhardt was already capitalizing on the errors to win 25-12. Set two fell into the Skyhawks' favor, winning 25-19. The third set was close up until RU's 12th point where Reinhardt was able to inch their way to the win with some clutch kills by Juliette Baffico and Faith Breitbarth. The momentum from set three carried into the fourth for the Eagles who took the set 25-20.
Leaders:
- Katherine Perrin led her team in kills once again with 16. Following closely behind her was Juliette Baffico, who had 14. Baffico also added 8 digs.
- Setter, Ashlynn Barnes, had 39 assists and had 12 digs.
- Shaniya Banks dominated the net with 6 blocks on the match.
- Sarah Sweet had the team's most with 20 digs. Sweet also had 8 assists.
