Eagles BBALL Earns WIN 81-75 in Hard-fought Battle with Point!
West Point, GA – Reinhardt University defeated Point University with a final score of 81-75 in an away match-up held on Saturday, November 4th. The victory improved Reinhardt's record to 2-0 for the season, while the Point Skyhawks fell to 2-1.
The first quarter was closely contested, with Point University taking a slim one-point lead of 21-20. However, Reinhardt bounced back in the second quarter, outscoring their opponents 19-12 to take a six-point lead into halftime.The third quarter saw a strong response from Point University, as they outscored Reinhardt 24-21 to reduce the deficit to just three points heading into the final quarter. However, Reinhardt held their nerve in the fourth quarter, scoring 21 points to Point University's 18 to secure the victory.
RU freshman, Niya Moon, came off the bench and led her team offensively with 15 points. However, Ashley Woodroffe was the player of the match totaling 14 points and led with 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.
Overall, it was a hard-fought game between Reinhardt and Point University, with both teams showcasing their skills and determination. Reinhardt's balanced scoring and solid shooting ultimately proved to be the difference in securing the victory.
