No. 23 men’s tennis earns second consecutive victory; women fall to Bethel
MCKENZIE, Tenn. (April 2, 2022) – The Point University men's and women's tennis teams continued their weekend road trip with a stop to face Bethel University Saturday afternoon.
The No. 23 men's team won 6-1, and the women fell 1-6.
MEN'S DOUBLES MATCHES
- Verlaguet/Luna won 6-0
- Maust/Thomas won 6-0
- Speranza/Brody Millwood won 6-2
MEN'S SINGLES MATCHES
- Guido Luna won 6-0, 6-0
- Alexandre Verlaguet won 6-2, 6-4
- Gavin Thomas won 6-0, 6-1
- Trey Maust won 6-2, 6-3
- Santiago Speranza won 6-0, 6-1
- Dakotah Fuller lost 1-6, 7-5, 10-5
WOMEN'S DOUBLES MATCHES
- Ovejero/McKenzie lost 2-6
- Villalobos/Gallman won 6-0
- Gonzalez/Herrera lost 1-6
WOMEN'S SINGLES MATCHES
- Andrea Ovejero Fernandez lost 4-6, 2-6
- Sofia Villalobos won 6-1, 6-0
