Women’s golf places sixth in spring opener

OKATIE, S.C. (March 1, 2022) – The Point University women's golf team opened the 2022 portion of its season this Monday and Tuesday at the 2022 Monument Intercollegiate in Okatie, S.C., hosted by USC Beaufort, and finished in sixth place out of eight teams.

Tournament Notes

• Point finished with a tournament score of 1008 (+53)
• The Skyhawks shot rounds of 331, 336 and 341
• The Skyhawks defeated Appalachian Athletic Conference foe Reinhardt, who finished seventh, and Ave Maria, who finished eighth.
• No. 5 SCAD Savannah won the tournament with a score of 918. Eastern Florida State finished second, Long Island University finished third, No. 19 USCB finished fourth and Coastal Georgia finished fifth.
