Men win 6-1, women fall 1-6 in final home match

VALLEY, Ala. (April 7, 2022) – The Point University men's and women's tennis teams hosted SCAD Atlanta Thursday at the Sportsplex in Valley, Ala. The No. 23 men's team beat SCAD 6-1, and the women fell to No. 22 SCAD 6-1.

This was the Skyhawks' final home match of the season as the men finished their home slate 3-1 and the women finished 2-3.

MEN'S DOUBLES MATCHES
1. Luna/Verlaguet won 6-3
2. Maust/Thomas won 6-3
3. Cruz/Speranza won 6-0

MEN'S SINGLES MATCHES

  1. Guido Luna won 4-6, 6-3, 10-2
  2. Alexandre Verlaguet won 6-2, 6-2
  3. Gavin Thomas won 6-1, 6-2
  4. Santiago Speranza won 6-2, 6-2
  5. Erik Cruz Manuel won (injury)
  6. Dakotah Fuller lost 4-6, 6-2, 3-10

WOMEN'S DOUBLES MATCHES

1. Ovejero/McKenzie lost 6-1
2. Villalobos/Gallman lost 6-3
3. Gonzalez/Herrera lost 6-0
