Ortega Leads With 13 Kills, Firehawks Come Up Short to Point

WEST POINT, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern volleyball team fell in straight sets on the road to Point on Saturday.

UT Southern (10-9, 3-5) got off to a slow start but battled back dropping set one 23-25. Point would put pressure of the Firehawks taking the final two sets.

Sophia Ortega led with 13 kills. Laura Howell had 22 assists. Isabella Garza led with 13 digs.

NEXT UP

UT Southern will return to the CAC to host Middle Georgia State on Friday, October 13th. The first serve is set for 1 p.m.
