WESTPOINT, Ga. – The University of Tennessee Southern men's basketball team opened the season with a 74-70 win over Point on Thursday.
Four Firehawks cashed in double figures in the game. Kavion Hancock led the offensive attack with 22 points. Adarion Hudson is just seven points from 1,200 after his 17-point effort tonight. Brady Brown and Kendall Wright both added 10.
Point outshot UTS 48%-44% from the field. Triples were the deciding factor in tonight's matchup. UTS edged PU 9-5 from range. UTS led at the break 36-28.
Point would outscore the Firehawks 43-38 and make a push to defend their home court. UTS became the Home-opener spoilers bringing the win back to Pulaski.

The Firehawks will travel to Thomasville, Ga. to take on the Nighthawks of Tomas University on Friday, November 4th. The tip-off is set for 4 pm.
